Determination of Secondary School Food and Beverage Services Department Students' Attitudes Towards Healthy Nutrition

Abstract

This research was conducted to examine the attitudes of students studying in the department of food and beverage services in secondary education towards healthy nutrition. The research, which was carried out according to quantitative research methods, was designed in the survey model and the data were collected by questionnaire method. The research was carried out on 185 students, who were determined by convenience sampling method, studying in the food and beverage services departments of secondary schools in Aydın city centre in the 2022-2023 academic year. As a result of the research, students received an average score of 84.665 points from the healthy eating scale, which can be obtained a maximum of 105 points. It was observed that students' attitudes towards healthy eating were not at the expected level. In the study, it was also found that students' attitudes towards healthy nutrition differed in some dimensions according to their gender, class and monthly income level of their families.
